bible study: the gospel according to job

Please join us for a four-part Bible Study, led by Rev. Cochran, where we will tackle the Old Testament Book of Job. We will meet once a week in King Fellowship Hall, following Coffee Hour each Sunday, starting on September 29th and running until October 20th. There is no sign up sheet for this event. If interested… just show up!

october outreach mission

On Sunday, September 22nd, we welcomed back Mary Ann Marzano, creator of Organic Change for Haiti, a non-profit organization to support an orphanage called Dada's Place in Haiti.  Mary Ann spoke about all that the orphanage provides, the children who live there, and the need for donations. We, once again, are making Organic Change for Haiti our Outreach mission for October.

Mary Ann has requested a few items that she will take with her to Haiti in November.  The items are:  antibacterial ointment, children’s cough syrup, children’s Tylenol, beef jerky, children’s underwear (boys and girls sizes 4-8), and band-aids.  A box has been placed in the church narthex for these items and a list of the items may be found on the “Name Tag” table.  Monetary donations (cash or check made payable to Organic Change for Haiti) will also be accepted.  Envelopes are available in the pews or you may see Ginny Walkwitz.  And remember… you, too, can make a difference in the lives of so many children.

“trunk or treat”

saturday, october 26th

Our 3rd Annual “Trunk or Treat” event will be held on Saturday, October 26th, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.  Join us in the back parking lot of the church, where vehicle trunks will be transformed into scary, silly, and just plain fun places for kids to “trick or treat".  It's a safe way to celebrate the holiday, get some special goodies, and have a “spooktacular” time with family and friends! (Event will be moved indoors if inclement weather.)

Volunteers are wanted to decorate their cars and pass out candy.  Displays can be as elaborate or as simple as you like.  For more information, contact Lauri Osip, Director of Christian Education, at 413-734-1290
