Meet Our New Settled Pastor
It is with great pleasure that we welcome Reverend Bart Cochran as our new Settled Pastor. An ordained minister since 2012, Rev. Cochran is originally from Amarillo, Texas. He completed his undergraduate studies at Marymount University and received his Master of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary. Rev. Cochran is experienced in pastoral care, is a strong leader, and helped his previous congregation experience growth in new membership, technology and youth ministry. He has served as pastor of Southwick Congregational Church for the past six years and is an active member in the UCC Conference, having served as Vice Moderator for the Hampden Association. Rev. Cochran and his wife, Valerie, have two grown sons.
References for Rev. Cochran are quick to compliment his desire for life-long learning, strength in collaboration, engaging sermons, and an ability to connect faith with daily life. Additionally, he has a passion for discovery, getting to know each member of the congregation and their appreciation of their own path of faith to a deeper connection with, and understanding of, God’s word. One of Rev. Cochran’s references summed him up well, saying, “Bart is a man of deep and abiding faith who exhibits confidence in the goodness of God and the relentless power of the Holy Spirit.”
Rev. Cochran looks forward to serving all members and friends of Mittineague Congregational Church. He will lead worship every Sunday morning at 10:00 AM and hopes to see you soon!
Need to Contact the Pastor? Rev. Cochran may be reached at the church Monday thru Thursday, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at 413-734-1290 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
